The life cycle of a  Monarch butterfly
How does a caterpillar turn into a butterfly?
The mother  lifecycle butterfly  lays  lots of eggs under a leaf. Then in a couple of days the baby caterpillar chews  the egg  and slowly comes out and slowly finds lots of leaves  and then the caterpillar eats lots and lots  until  it get bigger and bigger after  when it gets bigger  it will move and move  until it finds a stick  it will move a lot  and then it will turn it a chrysalis. In a couple of days  it will slowly turn in to a butterfly.
How long does it take for a Monarch  butterfly  to leave the caterpillar?
The egg takes  5 to 10 days, the  larva/caterpillar  and pupa/chrysalis  each take about 10 to 14 days.

Then the butterfly comes out of the chrysalis and flies away and it makes more babies and it does it over and over again
